In a time when books are banned, archives are erased, and public monuments still glorify oppression, the Kinfolk App offers a radical alternative: a living, community-powered archive that can’t be censored or torn down.

Kinfolk uses augmented reality (AR) to transform sidewalks, parks, and city squares into portals of memory and imagination. Wherever the stories of Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Queer communities have been overlooked, the app helps bring them into the light—beautifully, boldly, and permanently.
