Deeply Rooted: Land & Legacy of Northwest Landing

-

This immersive exhibition brings the rich history of Indianapolis’s Near Northwest Area to life through an innovative Augmented Reality Art Gallery. Created in partnership with Kinfolk Technology and supported by the Mellon Foundation, the project is led by the Aspire Higher Foundation to honor and revive the neighborhood’s unique heritage. To launch the experience, we unveiled the first three AR monuments: Women of the Negro League Baseball, William G. Ryder, and Father Boniface Hardin. By making these stories accessible and engaging, the exhibition connects today’s residents with the community’s historic spirit—reigniting pride, memory, and unity across generations.
